We are pleased to announce Anna Barrett as the new Executive Director of Reclaim Childhood (RC). Anna will lead the organization in implementing our mission to empower girls and women in Jordan through sport and play. With nine years of experience in Sport for Development, most recently as the A Ganar Coordinator at Partners of the Americas, Anna has demonstrated a passion for and dedication to using the unique power of sports to improve lives. As an accomplished female athlete and coach, Anna represents the leadership that Reclaim Childhood seeks to inspire.
In addition to A Ganar, Anna has consulted for PeacePlayers International and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA, implemented programs for Soccer Without Borders and Grassroot Soccer, and worked as the assistant coach of the Tufts women’s varsity soccer team. Anna has a M.A. in international affairs from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. from Dartmouth College, where she was a member of the varsity soccer team. Anna will officially begin her tenure on July 9.
